Alright group, where would you like to go for next years club gathering. Last year 2007 it was Elkins, WV., 2006 it was Cherokee, NC. Do not post a place if you don't plan on attending this event. Remember this event is between 4 or 5 days long and should be in an area that is not to far away so that most of the membership and chapters can attend. We need your input ASAP! so we can start planning next years club Rendezvous.

Terry, we usually have it around the third week of June, a few times we've had it in July. The date has never been set in stone as of yet. In the past we have tried to work around major area events or other clubs events that we support or events that we our self as a club put on. The third week of June has usually worked out good for us.

The club has been to Raystown Lake before......nice area with some nice roads. We have also been to Thunder In The Valley which I didn't much care for and it seemed a lot of the other members didn't care much for it either. Stroker

One of our members brought this up for our annual get together or for a place to go. It's the WASHBOARD MUSIC FESTIVAL in downtown Logan, Ohio. This event is from June 13 - 15, 2008 in the Hocking Hills Region. Craft and food vendors on the street, amusement rides, washboard music of all types from jazz to jugs, Motorcycle Parade & tours. Over 300 bikes in last years parade. This area is loaded with nice roads and the Hocking Hills State Park area is filled with many sight seeing locations. This is the area V-Twin Cruisers M/C held their 1995 National Rally. Washboard Music Festival go to www.washboardmusicfestival.com Hocking Hills www.hockinghills.com/parks/parks.htm

This just came in from another member WELLSBORO, PA Six hour ride from the Cleveland area and home of the PA Grand Canyon. Area riding would include the PA Grand Canyon, Cowanesque Lake, Tioga-Hammond Lake, Leonard Harrison State Park, Colton Point State Park, and World End State Park were you can cruise rocky gorges, waterfalls, and go back in time in this little old village called Eagles Mere, PA., and then its on to Forksville village and a stop at the general store and the world famous Tunkhannock Viaduct. Also in the area is a train ride, animal park, and the Austin Dam, this is the spot of the September 30, 1911 Austin Flood Disaster. To the north of Wellsboro, PA in nearby New York is scenic Finger Lakes and Watkins Glen State Park. Wellsboro, PA. - www.wellsboropa.comTioga County PA. - www.visittiogapa.com

Hi Stoker, The Grand Canyon in Pa is where we took a day ride this summer. Nice ride. We also went up into the Finger Lakes and passed Watkins Glen also nice. We also went up to Niagria Falls and then came home in same day, about a 700 mile ride. Day ride. But the area is nice. Southern Ohio is better as far as the roads go.

Thanks for the input Kawasaki Babe, this really helps in trying to figure out were most of the members would like to have the club Rendezvous at. I know some members can't travel to far because of not having enough vacation time or the money. Trying to find something that might work for most of the members. ;D

Hey Stroker, Animal and I went to Wellsboro PA this past summer and visited the PA. Grand Canyon. It was a great ride. Wellsboro is a old Civil War town but very beautiful. Old colonial buldings and the streets make it look asthough you're in the 19th century. The PA Grand Canyon is also really nice. I don't remember seeing too many hotels or motels except for the one Animal and I stayed at and I think that one was rated just below a "Motel 2". ;D I hope this helps, I would love to go back again in 2008.

Hello All, Might want to consider going to Morgantown, W.V. between July 24- 28, 2008. This is the time they hold the Mountainfest rally. Has your typical rally events, bands, vendors, etc.. Also plenty of day trips pre-mapped out through some beautiful scenic surroundings through small towns and Civil War battlefields. Lodging is available from roadside motels; Holiday Inn Express to Golf Resorts with Spas or you can pitch a tent and stay at one of the six or seven campgrounds in the area. Morgantown is about a three and half hour drive by car, but it is very easy to get to and I am sure we could come up with an alternate route other then just the interstate. Also the location lends the possibilities for the other chapters to join in on the fun, I think Six hours for S.C. and Maryland is about 4 hours. Just a thought www.wvmountainfest.com/index.php

Hey there Jerry. Your right we're (md) about 3-4 hours from WV and there are some nice scenic roads around there. Last year we went to the East Coast Sturgis Rally which is right around the same area and took about 3-4 hrs to get there. We're already making plans for going this year but it's in August from the 6th-10th. Nice roads to ride,vendors/food,a poker run and bands(blackfoot and molly hatchet on sat night) and several events. Basically camping without the kids to let loose a little. However, they have a no kids/no colors policy. Probably wouldn't work for a club gathering as a whole due to the timing and was just at Elkins WV last year, but anyone interested can check it out and maybe we can meet up there. eastcoaststurgis.com
