If you have a metric bike that needs repaired the best places I've found are United Cycle & Sled and Breyley Yamaha. UNITED CYCLE & SLED 6970 Callow Rd. off Rt-86 in Painesville Twp., really closer to Leroy is owned and operated by Dale Bendula 440-254-4574. Dale works on Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, and Suzuki motorcycles, and has a small shop in back of his home. Dale has done lots of work on members bikes here on the east side and everyone so far has been very happy with his work. You can ride it in or he'll come to your home and pick it up. Dale starts on your bike as soon as parts arrive and returns it in good running order as promised and it's nice to get a bike back without finger prints and scuff marks all over the thing. He takes great pride in his work and your bike. Dale is certified on all metric brand bikes. It's hard to find a good motorcycle mechanic in this area, but in United Cycle & Sled I believe you have one of the best.
If you live on the west side of Cleveland and own a Yamaha I would suggest BREYLEY YAMAHA 11035 State Rd. North Royalton 440-237-4543. A lot of club members who own Yamaha's will only take their bikes here. Dave is the head mechanic and I have nothing but praise for this guy.
Lets here from the rest of you guys, what do you think of these two shops or maybe you know of somebody just as good. How about Harley Dealerships or shops? Lets here your feedback.

In the south-east, Foothills motorsports sells and services all brands of metric bikes. I purchased Penny's Shadow from them and had it serviced there a few weeks ago. They are very good and do not over charge you. They are just off I 85 in Anderson S.C. As for Harley's Greenville HD is good. So is Ghost town HD in Maggy Valley, Along with Savanna HD in Georgia. I've been broke down in both places before along with a number others I don't care to remember.

Hey Stroker, You're right, United Cycle is one of the BEST places to take your bike for repairs or routine maintenance but you forgot to mention the 10% discount on labor that Dale offers to V-Twin members. This guy really takes good care of us and treats your bike asthough it is his own. ;D [glow=red,2,300]ChiliDog[/glow]

Hey, what do you guys think of J & J Motorcycle Shop on E.185th St. in Euclid, Ohio? Jim has always treated me good on the purchase of bike parts but I never had any service done at his shop.

Jerry, if your looking for a good bike painter we have one in our club. His name is Dale Stickel and his shop is in his garage at the back of his house at 7300 Cadle Ave. Mentor, Ohio. His phone number is 440-255-2513. Dale has painted a lot of our club members bikes. If your looking for murals, graphics, custom designs, flames, skulls, lettering and such, that kind of paint work I have a talent for. "Strokers Custom Motorcycle Art" It's a small shop in the back of my home and is only open during the winter months. I have over 30 years working with airbrush art. I've painted custom vans in the 70's and now I'm doing motorcycles. I do not do full paint jobs or clear coating, my shop is to small for that, this type of work I leave to Dale. We have worked hand in hand on a lot of bikes. Like Dale I have also done a lot of club members bikes. You can reply to this post, email me or call me at 440-357-8256. Stroker

Your right, Greenville HD is great, had a new tire put on there after visiting with you and they got me right in, and was done in no time, even put me ahead of another local that was waiting.

Turc, what is the tank off of? Is the paint on the tank an original stock color in good condition or does it need to be repainted? What kind of art work do you want? Murals. graphics, flames, or what?

I guess a few details would help.... the tank is on a VTX1300, original black paint, minor scratchs near the console that will probably be rubbed out by the time spring rolls around....lookings for some very subtle flames to be added. Got the idea from a car I saw over the summer that was red and as you walked past you could just make out the flames, red on red.

You are painting your black bike red and adding red ghost flames? ? ;D

Turc, I'll have to side with Jester on this one. Does this mean you want the tank painted red with red ghost flames, or do you want the stock black tank painted with black ghost flames.
