Took off work Thursday, I was headed in but the weather was so nice I just kept going. Well I landed up in Lisbon, Ohio. If your looking for a place to eat, the Taste of Country on Route 45 just north of downtown Lisbon has fantastic home cooked food and at great prices. Just can't go wrong here and they have a nice buffet to kill for. In town they have a neat looking 50's style diner. Didn't see this place until after I already ate. Its called Earl & Jacki's Steel Trolley Diner. While in town I stopped at a couple tourist places like the Lisbon Historical Society which is in the old train depot. Picked up some info and headed out to see a couple covered bridges. Along the way I stopped to see the ruins of Camp McKinley on Logtown Road. Not much to see but an old stone foundation. Another stop was the Lusk Locks part of the Sandy & Beaver canal near Lisbon in the Beaver Creek State Park. An old metal plaque on the stone walls said it was erected in 1836. Pics coming soon.
